En el marco del proyecto bi-regional ALCUE NET y, a través de sus Oficinas de Enlace con la Unión Europea, la Dirección Nacional de Relaciones Internacionales del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Productiva de Argentina (MINCYT) junto con el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura de Uruguay (MEC), llevarán a cabo este jueves 1 de diciembre la Jornada Informativa para América Latina y el Caribe sobre Horizonte 2020. 

The sixth edition of the TICAL Conference, held from September 13 to 15 in Buenos Aires, was one of the highlights of the latest version of the bulletin of the Association of University Interconnection Networks (ARIU) in Argentina. The organization interviewed Christian O'Flaherty - ISOC representative - and Guillermo Cicileo - LACNIC SSR Coordinator - on the Plenary Session "Opportunities for Universities in the Internet Ecosystem" held during the event.

The TICAL Conference will hold a special call to receive proposals of innovative ICT projects that aim to make significant improvements in the universities. The selected projects will be presented in a special session at TICAL2017, which will be held in July 2017 in Costa Rica.

The meeting will be held on 14 December 2016 starting from 13h00 UTC/GMT where officers from the European Commission and practitioners involved in similar projects will talk about opportunities that exist under this call.

To be held in July 2017 in the city of San José, Costa Rica, TICAL2017 opens its call for the presentation of papers around the thematic axes defined by the Program Committee: ICT Solutions for Teaching, ICT Solutions to Support Research, ICT Solutions for ICT Management, Management and Governance, Software Infrastructure and Development, Information Security and Value Added Services for Advanced Academic Networks. The call will close on April 3, 2017 at 24:00 GMT, and the papers must be sent strictly according to the format established in the TICAL2017 Guide of Authors (download it from http://tical2017.redclara.net/images/docs/Conferencia_TICAL2017_Guia_Autores.doc) in Word and PDF formats, by email to: tical@redclara.net.
