The TNC2015, conference organized by GÉANT annually, will only happen in June of the next year, but it has some news for those who are interested in participating. The registration for the event is already open, and with discounts.
To be held between July 6th and 8th of 2015 in the city of Viña del Mar, Chile, TICAL2015 - the Conference of the Network of Directors of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Latin American Universities - opened its call for submitting papers around the seven thematic axis defined by the Programme Committee of the event. The closing date of the call is dated for April 15th of 2015, at 24:00 GMT, and the papers must be submitted in strict alignment to the format established by the Guide for Authors TICAL2015Guide for Authors TICAL2015 to the email tical@redclara.net. As an incentive, one author of each paper selected for the conference will receive airfare to attend TICAL.
The event will involve the participation of experts from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela, who will speak about the importance of open textbooks and the experience of the LATIn project in this area.
LA Referencia (LAR) will dictate the web seminar about Open Repositories Strategies in Latin America next November 25th at 15:00 GMT, in an activity organized by AIMS advisory team of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO-UN).
The event will include three meetings on 10, 12 and December 15 and will be held by videoconference (VC) with a simultaneous transmission through Internet. All the institutions members of the national networks connected to RedCLARA are invited to register their VC room until December 5th, 2014 at the event website.
The event will be held in Malawi, in May of the next year.
