A great friend of RedCLARA and Professor at the University of Los Andes (Merida, Venezuela), Herbert Hoeger died on August 30, 2015. Herby, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was PhD in Computer Science, and brought all his experience ito the international cooperation projects in computational grids EELA, EELA2, GISELA and to the SCALAC initiative. In RedCLARA we had the fortune of working with him and hence, knowing him; we share the pain of his departure with his beloved ones. Farewell our friend.
