The National Network of Teaching and Research of Brazil (RNP), member of RedCLARA, will hold on October 17 and 18, in Brasília, the 2017 RNP Forum. With the theme "25 years of internet in Brazil: challenges and trends", the edition will celebrate this story with its eyes on the future.

Borned in Venezuela and with a vast experience in academic networks and the Latin American ICT scene, the nomination of Luis Eliécer Cadenas as the new Executive Director of RedCLARA was announced during the opening of the TICAL2017 Conference in San Jose, Costa Rica, at the beginning of last June. The executive began his duties in the advanced Latin American network on August 1^st.

The sixth and penultimate edition of the project "MuRe: museografía en Red", created by Anilla Cultural Latinoamérica-Europa in Uruguay and supported by RedCLARA, will be held on September 5 with live webcast.

In what ways can universities take advantage of Big Data, the Internet of Things and mobile devices, enhancing their teaching and research? This and other relevant questions are the subject of the book "Enhancing the University of the XXI Century: ICT Solutions to Think the University of the Future", launched by RedCLARA in the framework of the TICAL2017 Conference (July 3 and 5, in San Jose, Costa Rica), and already available for download at the event website.
