GÉANT, Europe’s leading collaboration on e-infrastructure and services for research and education, and RedCLARA, the Latin American Research and Education Network, today announced the signing of an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) contract with EllaLink, for spectrum on a direct submarine cable connecting Europe and Latin America.

The directors and responsibles for ICT in Latin American universities are invited to respond the survey "II Study on the Maturity of ICT Governance in the Universities of Latin America" published this Wednesday, June 20 at http://encuesta-reditic.redclara.net. The deadline to answer closes on August 12.

“Conociendo al enemigo: herramientas para el estudio de las interacciones entre bacterias patógenas y sus hospederos” será el tema de la edición 2018 de la Escuela Regional de Microbiología, que se llevará a cabo entre 15 y 26 de octubre en Montevideo, Uruguay. The opening class of 41st edition of the International School of Young Astronomers (YSIA2018) was held last July 8, at the Industrial University of Santander, in Colombia. The School brings together experts and students of countries such as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, United States, Italy, Peru, Honduras and Colombia.
