The Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean (FRIDA) is opening its 2019 call for proposals to fund projects, with an emphasis on community networks and women-led initiatives that promote gender equality in technology.

The call for participation in this special issue of the Journal of Cyber Policy, referred to the impact of consolidation in the Internet’s fundamental architecture (including structural dependencies across its many layer), will be opened until 1^st April, 2019.

The agreement signed between CloudHesive LATAM - advanced consulting ally for Amazon Web Services - and RedCLARA seeks to equip members and users of the Latin American network with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other value-added services in a direct and simplified way through CloudHesive.

To be held between September 2 and 4, at the Cancun International Convention Center, in the city of Cancun, Mexico, the traditional TICAL Conference and the Latin American e-Science Meeting opened its calls to submit papers on the theme "The student genome and the university digital metamorphosis", and invite the interested parties to apply between March 18 and May 20, 2019, at 24:00 GMT (closing time of both calls). The papers must be sent in strictly compliance with the format established in the Authors' Guide of both events.

High-speed connections around the world, such as the BELLA project, were the highlight of the programme of the Internet2 Global Summit 2019, one of the main events that bring together networks for education and research. The meeting, organized by the US academic network Internet2, took place from 5 to 8/3 in Washington, USA.
