The first webinar of BELLA II, “Allies to build the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean”, will be a stakeholders bonding and exchanging space, preceding the BELLA II and the Digital Alliance UELAC policy dialogues.

It was 82 participants from 19 countries, many working days, two keynote speeches, and just one conviction in the Bella Ideathon Copernicus Innovation Challenge: we can find suitable solutions for all technological, climatic, and social challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The first step for a new National Research and Education Network (RNEN) in Panamá was taken today by RedCLARA and the National Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (SENACYT, Spanish acronym), with the creation of a commission for this purpose.

An innovative Project promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Córdoba, Argentina, where RedCLARA is one a founding member, has been selected to receive funding from Cyted, the Ibero-American Programme on Science and Technology for Development, for five years.

The RedCLARA successful experience and all the opportunities related to implementing the BELLA II project were presented at the "Digital Conversation: Experiences, successful cases and best practices in the Latin American and Caribbean."

More than 80 researchers, scientists, and experts within the region are participating in the BELLA Ideathon, an innovation challenge between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, organized by RedCLARA, GÉANT, and the NRENs of both continents.
