The experience of RedCLARA, the BELLA II project, and its relevance in the Digital Alliance between the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) was highlighted in an online event organized by the Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECID) and the EU-LAC RESINFRA Network, on 25-26 July.

A delegation from RedCLARA consisting of the Director of International Cooperation, Academic Relations and Communications, Mark Urban, the Academic Relations Manager, Tania Altamirano, and the Academic Projects Coordinator, Laura Castellana, participated in the 5th EU-LAC Academic Summit, which took place from July 6 to 8, in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, within the framework of the efforts of the recently signed EU-LAC Digital Alliance.

The BELLA II White Book (digital version) is now available to provide a conceptual background and a roadmap to guide the interactions among the stakeholders involved in the execution of the BELLA II project.

The call for papers about HPC (High-Performance Computing), HPC&AI, and HCP Applications is open until July 16.

Several actors and stakeholders from the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and Europe participated in the first BELLA II Open Strategic Dialogue, which took place on 18 July in Brussels, Belgium, in the framework of the III EU-CELAC Summit of Heads of State.

Brussels, Belgium, will be the hosting city for important events in July: It will be the venue of the EU-CELAC Summit of Heads of State and Government (July 17 and 18), the place where the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) will reaffirm their Digital Alliance, as a strategic framework to foster bi-regional cooperation across the full spectrum of digital issues, and home to the first BELLA II Strategic Dialogue in 2023.
