The e-science as a proposal to solve regional problems. Under the slogan "doing more with less", it is announce the "Cycle of Regional Sessions for a new science" to be held from October 27th to November 3rd, which seeks to encourage a reflection on the possible scenarios to consolidate a collaborative service of advanced computing in Latin America.
Between the 7th and 11th of November, Montevideo (Uruguay) will host the second annual meeting of the members and partners in the Latin America Interconnected with Europe 2 project, ALICE2. The agenda will include technical, executive and communications meetings.
The event, to be held on October 17 to 19, 2011, is organized by the Red RITDT (Coordinated by Daniel Diaz Ataucuri, Director of Research and Technological Development INICTEL-UNI and member of the Peruvian Academic Network-RAAP) and is part of the Ibero-American Programme for Science, Technology and Development, CYTED. This distinction is in recognition of his contribution to the permanent development of Internet and Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean.
For two days the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the scenery of the event that gathers the main actors of the projects developed in the e-Infrastructure field and that includes in its agenda the presentation of successful experiences and opportunities for collaboration.
