Among the activities of the 27th edition of the International Biennial of Scientific Film (BICC) Ronda 2014, the Spanish Association of Scientific Film and Image (ASECIC) and the National Sound Archive of Mexico, in collaboration with RedCLARA, RedIRIS and other academic networks of R & D + i of associated IP broadband, presents on February 27, 2014 from 15: 00 to 17:00 GTM, the interactive audiovisual tele-meeting dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the Latin American audiovisual heritage.
“The efforts developed in Latin America, materialised in the great development of Academic Networks in the region and the construction of the Regional network (RedCLARA), are creating an ideal scenario for interaction among researchers in research centres, as well as in universities and enterprises, thus laying the foundations for the establishment of e-Science programmes in the region.”
LACNIC announces the launch of the 2014 edition of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the purpose of which is to recognize those individuals that have contributed to the permanent development of the Internet and the Information Society in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The results of the call for papers will be announced on April 8th, 2014. For each work selected to be part of the Conference program, RedCLARA will pay the cost of the airfare for the transfer of the author (if there is more than one, it will be asked to choose a representative) to Cancun, Mexico, venue of the event.

This year, eight leading experts from the region will be responsible of the evaluation of the articles received in response to the call for papers and to select those that will be part of the TICAL2014 program.
