RedCLARA invites you to take part in a free workshop on agent-based AI design using AMD technology

On 20 November, researchers, students, academics and developers from member institutions of the National Research and Education Networks (RNIE) in Latin America will have free access to a practical training session to learn how to design artificial intelligence agents using state-of-the-art AMD technologies.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving from generative models towards systems capable of reasoning, planning and executing tasks autonomously. With the aim of bringing these technologies closer to the region’s academic and research community, RedCLARA, together with its member networks and AMD, will hold the virtual workshop ‘Agent-based AI Design with AMD Technology’ on Friday 20 November.
The session, which will last three and a half hours, will combine presentations with practical exercises and enable participants to gain experience in AI agent architecture, memory management, tool integration, orchestration and emerging standards for communication between agents and external services.
During the workshop, attendees will have access to remote computing resources and a laboratory environment fully accessible via a web browser, with no need for local installations. All that is required is a computer with internet access.
The training will be delivered by Dr Mario Ruiz, a senior member of the technical staff at the AMD University Programme, who specialises in accelerated computing technologies and the adoption of advanced tools for research and education.
In addition to the practical training, participants will be able to continue exploring the technologies presented once the workshop has finished. The recording and materials will be made available afterwards, and those who complete the activity will be able to request access to the AUP Learning Cloud learning environment and register free of charge for the AMD AI Developer Programme, thereby expanding their opportunities for training and experimentation in artificial intelligence.
The workshop is aimed at RedCLARA member National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and at researchers, postgraduate students, professionals and developers with a general understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning or software development from the institutions that make up these networks. No prior experience with AI agents is required.
