February 21: Talk on copernicus
CUDI and RedCLARA are organizing the talk: From the sky to the earth: Copernicus, the European Union (EU) Earth Observation Program for the World, on Wednesday, February 21 at 12:00 (UCT-6). The objective is to present the characteristics of the program, its benefits for solving or mitigating the effects of various problems at the level of climate change, fires, disasters, etc. at the national and regional levels.
Copernicus is the EU's Earth observation programme that studies our planet and its environment for the maximum benefit of all citizens. It provides information services based on satellite Earth observation data and in-situ data.
It provides information to help service providers, public administrations and other international organizations improve the quality of life of European citizens, using vast amounts of global data from satellites and ground-based, airborne and in-situ measurement systems. The information services provided are free and open to users.
