The new electronic publishing “e-colabora" will address science, education, innovation and culture, supported by advanced technology networks. Through this initiative, Colombia and Latin America will have a platform to disseminate scientific knowledge.

RAICES is an entity that is promoting the celebration. Internet Day was instituted in 2005 in the context of the Second World Summit on the Information Society.

From February 11th until December 2nd, 2011, the Mexican network will transmit by videoconference the third edition of this event organized by the National Center for Research and Technological Development (CENIDET) that will include topics such as saving energy, nanotechnology, renewable energy, biochemistry, artificial intelligence and teaching and learning processes supported by technology engineering.
