The Latin American Conference on High Performance Computing, CLCAR 2013, is an annual event which main purpose is to provide a space for meeting and exchange of experiences for the research communities of Latin America in high performance computing, including parallel and distributed computing, scientific computing and their applications in solving particular problems.

Cultural Ring Latin America - Europe in Uruguay is an initiative of ANEP, CES and UDELAR. In its line of action in Scientific and Technological Culture it is in touch with the CERN - European Nuclear Research Centre –for an open dialogue on the popular science with their students, teachers and the general public. The virtual tour of Uruguay at CERN will be perform from multiple videoconference rooms through RAU, the Uruguayan Academic Network, with free public entry upon registration.
